Welcome to the MUBS Entrepreneurship Centre Blog. The Centre is one of the MUBS outreach centres intended to foster entrepreneurship in the country. Among the activities of the Centre is training, research, causing discussions, and consultancy. Among other activities that are intended to promote the growth of entrepreneurship in the country. It has now been established globally that entrepreneurship is an instigator of economic growth. Entrepreneurship creates value through start -up and exploitation of opportunities. It is therefore an important solution in removing poverty among people. This is the reason why entrepreneurship has become a preoccupation of governments, NGOs,education institutions and individual in their bid to address the issues of poverty.
MUBS pioneered the teaching of entrepreneurship in the region and had various academic programmes from certificate to PhD. The Centre complements that effort in the formal education programmes to promote entrepreneurship especially among the youth. We hope to use the blog to cause discussion so that we can understand how it can be used to address poverty issues.
